14. Consistency Workflow

  1. Generate 8–20 variations of one asset.
  2. Pick the best candidate.
  3. Save it as the official base asset.
  4. Generate states using the approved asset as reference.
  5. Clean up in Aseprite.
  6. Export final sprite.
  7. Add metadata file.
  8. Test in map.
  9. Only then generate related variants.

Do not generate every asset in one batch

This will create style drift.

Recommended order:

  1. Water, sand, dock.
  2. Captain.
  3. Fisherman.
  4. Bottle and scroll.
  5. Fishing net broken/repaired.
  6. Dialogue and letter UI.
  7. FX.
  8. First playable mission.
  9. Then expand Harbour.

When generating a second state of an asset, always include:

16. Prompting Rule for Top-Down Consistency

Add this line when the model drifts into side-view or illustration:
