CaptainsWorld is a guided top-down educational adventure where children explore beautiful islands, help memorable characters through adaptive literacy or maths missions, and watch the world transform as they learn.

The child does not "complete activities."

Current strategic direction¶
We are moving away from isolated educational activities and toward a reusable mission architecture.
CaptainsWorld should not be a collection of mini-games. It should be a story-driven learning world where adaptive educational content is embedded inside meaningful missions.
The strongest current direction is:
A guided top-down 2D adventure, inspired by the clarity of Pokémon-style world navigation, but without combat. Instead of fighting, children help. Instead of badges, they restore places, earn trust, and unlock story memories.
Current biggest blocker¶
The main blocker is not the learning engine or the story concept.
The main blocker is the visual production pipeline:
- world kit
- tiles
- NPC sprites
- mission props
- prop states
- reusable FX
- visual patterns
- renderer implementation
The next major task is to create Harbour Kit v1.
